When coming to Hoi An at nighttime, your first destination must be Chua Cau - Bridge Pagoda

People also call it the Japanese Covered Bridge. The bridge built at the beginning of the 17th century is based on the heart of the old Japanese town on Tran Phu street. The special thing about the bridge is that it combined two parts: the bridge and the Pagoda and attracts thousands of tourists who come to admire the old Japanese architecture from the time.

The Water Puppet Theatre

The Water Puppet Theatre called “Mua roi nuoc" is a must-visit if you're traveling in Hoi An for the first time. 

Making puppets dance on the water is a unique type of traditional folk theater form dating from the 11th century. This ancient art form of water puppetry is performed in a waist-deep pool with the puppets made out of wood and then painted or lacquered. The puppet is supported by a large bamboo rod under the water. That's why the puppeteers, who normally hide behind a screen, can control the puppets dancing and slide gracefully on the water. The stage is decorated with colorful flags and spotlights to create a festive atmosphere.
