Early morning (7am – 8am)- Hoi An Central Market
Hoi An central market is located on the banks of Thu Bon river. The market is busy every day. There are various foodstuffs for sale including pork, chicken, duck, or even spices. You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables on display. Due to its riverside location, there is also a huge selection of fresh fish available. The marketplace also offers fine silk, ceramics which is cheaper than anywhere else in Hoi An. If you are a souvenir and local handicraft hunter, you can find a variety of items at the central market. It’s a good idea to wear closed shoes when strolling in the market because the floor can get damp, dirty and sticky.

Early morning (8am – 9am) - Madam Phuong Bread

Compared with other restaurants, Banh mi Phuong is always crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. Combining French ingredients, the baguette, pate, and mayonnaise plus native Vietnamese ingredients including pickled vegetables, herbs, and a freshly fried egg and spicy chili sauce, it is the perfect breakfast or lunch. This bread can’t be compared to any banh my in Viet Nam.

Morning (9 am – 12 pm)- Fukian Assembly Hall (Phuc Kien)
The Fukian Assembly Hall (Phuc Kien), Hoi An was established in the year 1697. Although Hoi An has various popular assembly halls, the Fukian Assembly Hall is very special and exceptional.
You must visit this assembly hall to admire a wonderful architecture as a heritage of historical significance and a combination of cultures. There are some animals such as dragon, unicorn, phoenix, turtle and so on. All these animals signify different features of Chinese culture.
Lunch (12pm – 2pm) -Tan Ky Old House
Maintained by seven generations, Tan Ky Old House is the beautifully preserved 18th-century house influenced by Chinese and Japanese cultures. The roof is made of tiles, ornate decorations, dragon statues on the rooflines; inside, the ceiling consists of wood. This ceiling is supported by three progressively shorter beams, designed by Japanese people. You can also see the decoration by Chinese poems written in inlaid mother- of- pearl and have been over 150 years old. All of the ancient things make the temple very photogenic and attractive!
